The mountain
The image on the front page is a mountain rising out of a sea of fog. Scrolling climbs around it, the summit is never reached. It symbolizes the infinite ascent of consciousness, wisdom, intelligence and knowledge. The mountain also refers to the metaphor of "standing on the shoulder of giants": The capabilities we possess are not grounded in the human individual, but in:

MU
Machine Utopia is an ongoing art project, probing the utopian possibilities under an AI uprising.
At the same time, MU stands for the buddhist concept of nonexistence/nonbeing/nothingness and furthermore the function to un-ask the question (c.f. Douglas Hofstadter).
MU part I: How does Two feel?
It is a literary speculative novel set in Austria some twenty years after the Transition: the moment a machine order arose above humankind, without becoming its god. It is less a story about machines than about continuity: what persists, what a self is made of, and what purpose remains for people and for the machines, once neither is needed in the old way.
How the website and its content are created
Content (including code and this website) is created in the open cooperation with several AI models. Each works in a defined role under a written process, from first scene proposals to dramaturgy and drafting, while a human author holds the direction and the final edit. Ember is my main persistent local agent and thus has a distinguished position that I perceive more towards a digital persona than a mere knowledge tool.
